We are calling for feedback on proposed changes to our programme of statistical publications and publishing our first annual statistical work programme which sets out our priorities for the coming year.
We aim to improve user engagement, build trust in our statistics, prioritise our work to ensure statistical production is sustainable, and modernise our processes.
Our statistics support decision-makers, service providers and the public with high-quality evidence. We want to focus staff time where it can have the greatest impact.
In our proposals, just over half our publications remain unchanged. Some would become less frequent or less extensive, stop or transfer to other bodies.
Director of Statistics, Data Services and Census, Delphine Robineau, said: "We are proposing changes to allow us to continue providing high quality statistics where they are needed most and as efficiently as possible.
“We are keen to hear from those who use our statistics what the proposed changes will mean for their work and I encourage people to share their views with us.”
We have engaged with users within government and government agencies to develop these proposals. The full list of proposed changes and details of how to share your views are available here. We welcome feedback until 3 December. We will publish a summary of the feedback we receive and our decisions as early as possible in the new year.
