You can order up to 5 individual plan reference numbers for each request. There is a £15 minimum charge per order.

We’ll use our discretion when deciding how we’ll supply digital images to you, for example:
We do not provide copies on photographic quality material. When approved by Conservation a digital image can be supplied for printing by a photographic agency. We can provide a letter to show that copyright will not be infringed.
We will supply all images as jpegs. For .tiff images there will be a charge of £15 per image. Contact us if you prefer this format.
You can order estimates for a maximum of 5 productions. We will only prepare additional productions after the first estimates have completed and paid for. We may be able to accommodate tight deadlines at our discretion.
We can accept requests involving two open pages (left and right) on a single image or paper print. Charges apply to each printed page or image.

There are separate charges for images for commercial research or reproduction, broadcast, publication or display. You can request these by contacting us.
Copies supplied are for private or non-commercial research only. You may not reproduce any material supplied for any reason without written permission from National Records of Scotland and from the owner of the original item if applicable.
