Delay in this area has been due to lack of dedicated resources and other priority work on information security.
Focus will now be turned towards developing a new Retention Schedule in a staged approach across smaller functional areas as local records management processes and projects are being looked at, rather than attempting to implement all at once. This approach will be more manageable given the limited resources available to us at this time.
For example, we remain committed to focussing on information held by our integrated services in social care. We are aware of the recent work carried out on the Records Management Code of Practice for Health and Social Care, which has now been completed and published, and this will factor in our plans moving forward.
Consequently, there is no change to this Element remaining an improvement area
