The Keeper has been informed of the review of West Lothian Council’s policy suite as part of a complete review of the Records Management Plan of the Council which is currently underway. Although that review is ongoing at the time of this assessment the Assessment Team has no concerns regarding this element of the Council’s revised plan.
The Assessment Team agrees that, as the record of the IJB are managed on the record-keeping systems of the Council, it is entirely appropriate for the IJB to adopt the Records Management Policy of the Council.
The Assessment Team also agree, that although the Council’s records management policy is currently being reviewed, the public records of the IJB are protected by the current policy and therefore this element remains compliant with PRSA requirements.
