How to Apply

  • Did the marriage take place in Scotland?
  • Are the couple resident in the UK?
  • Is it less than 3 weeks before the event?

If you answered yes to all the three questions above, you can apply online through the National Records of Scotland (NRS) website, without a copy of the marriage certificate.

Otherwise visit the Buckingham Palace website or contact the Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace on 020 7930 4832.

If you have applied online through the NRS Website:

  • An automatic acknowledgement email will be sent to your inbox. If you do not receive it, check your spam filter, then contact us on 0131 314 4320 or email [email protected]
  • We will verify the details using our records, and pass the information directly to the Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace.
  • The Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace will confirm to you that the Royal Anniversary Message will be delivered.
