We regret that, until 20 July 2016, unrevised migration figures for the period 1970-71 to 1979-80 were included in the timeseries of total net migration for Scotland in Figure 2. These figures were revised following the 1981 census and the revised figures have been included here. Previously released timeseries have not been corrected to include the revised figures.
