Population and household statistics are increasingly important to help inform policies and planning in central and local government, and the third sector. National Records of Scotland (NRS) are continuously working to improve the relevance, accuracy and timeliness of their demographic statistics so that they are fit for purpose for the 21st Century.

The aim of this event was to:

  • Update users on the wealth of information held by NRS.
  • Describe developments in methodology & plans for the future.
  • Gather views and share ideas to help shape future requirements.
  • Enable networking.
