NHS Central Register (NHSCR)
NRS maintains the National Health Service Central Register (NHSCR). This is a confidential population database containing information about people who were born or died in Scotland and persons currently registered or persons who have previously been registered for NHS healthcare purposes with Scottish General Practitioners (GPs).

Registration
NRS administers the registration of life events such as births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships, divorces and adoptions.
