2010 Data

There are restrictions on the demographic data that NRS can make available to councils and NHS boards at data zone level because of the risk of disclosure of sensitive information. No migration data can be released at small area level but the following population, births and deaths data are available to councils and NHS boards in Scotland, on request. 

  • Population estimates by sex, single year of age and data zone.
  • Births by sex and data zone

        – aggregated for the most recent 5-year period (mid-year to mid-year),

        – age of mother by truncated 5-year age group (≤19, 20-24, … , 30-34, ≥35).

  • Births by sex and intermediate zone

        – aggregated for the most recent 5-year period (mid-year to mid-year),

        – age of mother by truncated single year (≤16, 17, 18, … , 35, 36,  ≥37).

  • Deaths by sex and data zone

        – aggregated for the most recent annual mid-year to mid-year period,

        – age group of deceased (newborn/0, 1-4, 5-9 and 5-year groups to 80-84  
            
          and 85+).

  • Deaths by sex and data zone

        – aggregated for the most recent year 5-year period (mid-year to mid-year),

        – single year of age of the deceased (newborn, 0, 1, … , 88, 89, 90+).
