Electoral Ward Household and Dwelling Estimates (2011 Data Zone based)

Household and dwelling estimates for electoral wards are based on data zone household and dwelling estimates where each data zone has been assigned to a particular electoral ward.

These estimates were produced using the 2022 Electoral Ward boundaries.

The figures are based on adding up data zone household and dwelling estimates from the Small Area Statistics on Households and Dwellings. More information can be found in the Methodology Guide of the latest Household and Dwellings publication.

This section provides estimates of the number and percentage of dwellings which are occupied, vacant, unoccupied exemptions, long-term empty, second homes, occupied and exempt from paying council tax, or that are receiving a ‘single adult’ Council Tax discount for the 355 electoral wards in Scotland.

The estimates are available for each year from 2014 onwards.

This section provides estimates of the number and characteristics of dwellings for the 355 electoral wards in Scotland. Information is given on Council Tax Band, type of dwelling, number of rooms per dwelling and number of dwellings per hectare.

The estimates are available for each year from 2005 onwards.

(Data for 2018 to 2022 on type of dwelling and number of rooms are not yet available for publication.)
